The Second James Bond installment. With a budget of only two million
dollars, it's production values make it seem a much higher priced film.
From Russia with Love brought an element to Bond flicks which would later
prove essential to any James Bond production: Gadgets. 'Q' is introduced,
and he provides 007 with a specially designed attaché case containing
knives, ammo, tear gas (disguised as talcum powder), armalite rifle, and
a camera with a hidden tape recorder. In From Russia With Love, Mr. Bond
is sent to find out if it is true that a Russian defector wants to give
him a secret decoding machine. Bond meets the defector and is helped
along by Tatinia Romanova. |
